CAMPING AT THE ISLAND OF KRK

For all those who love nature and active holidays, camping is an ideal choice, and many who have not yet tried it, will most likely fall in love with this way of relaxing and resolving stress after just one camping experience.

The island of Krk is one of the most popular camping destinations, which is confirmed by the significant number of 26 camping resorts. Many campers who want to escape from the hectic everyday life and can’t wait to replace the concrete streets with a green environment will spend their vacation in idyllic surroundings. The choice of activities is large and offers many activities such as hiking and climbing, fishing, swimming, sailing, gliding, diving, etc. At our ”golden” island the gastronomy and rich culture will simply delight you and you will return home full of wonderful impressions.

But did you know that sleeping under the starry sky is regulated by Croatian law, which stipulates that caravans, tents and other campers should be located on a properly marked plot in the camp? In Croatia, only scouts and members of mountaineering associations can set up a tent in nature with prior notice to the institutions. For everyone else, therefore, according to Croatian law, camping on the beach, glade, mountain or forest is not allowed.

It is also important to know that from 01.06. – 31.10. all open fires due to fire prevention are prohibited. Outdoors there are usually already arranged places for grilling, but the alternative is always portable grills in a safe metal housing that does not allow the fire to be transferred to the open space.
